Day 8:HO HO HO Merry Christmas ya filthy animals

Oh my goodness.. It felt so good to get 9 hours of sleep last night! Greatest feeling of my life... waking up and feeling refreshed!!! So we got on the bus and drove to that high school to teach the little kids again.. Well I guess they are in high school! There was a lot more of us playing today.. They wanted to just watch us play so it was way nice to play! We all did really well for never playing together! It just got me so excited for season!
So there is this one girl that will not live down that I look like spencer from pretty little liars! So of course she wanted a picture with me haha

Don't these girls look like they are in middle school? I know I have only been graduated for a couple of months but still!

Okay after we got pack to the school we went and ate at some chicken place that is like Chick-Fil-A it was pretty good! They had super good fruit punch!!

We got back to the school at 2 and had to do a head injury test thing.. I aced it! Haha except for this one part where you had to remember some of the shapes from like 40 questions before.. I missed a couple on that! After we got done.. Guess what came next.. Christmas time!! Holy shiz I didn't realize how much stuff I was getting!! I was getting everything!! I LOVED IT! When we walked in everything was all set up and nice and beautiful!!

 

Coach told us that we were doing something last minute notice so we had to go to St. Augustine by 8:30 so we come home and unloaded all of our gear, made some dinner, then headed to the pier! We got there and started to swim for a while! The waves started to get pretty big! Every time some big wave would come someone would come up and have something that had came down haha! Like ten minutes after everyone but four of us went back in! Not us!! We were working those waves! I got smashed by one! Hard! I turned around to look at everyone and they just screamed "SAMMY" and I just got wrecked!!! I guess at this pier there is something that glows at night or some haha I don't know... We didn't stay long enough to see.. everyone got kinda bored so we left!

It was so fun to go night swimming! It was kinda scary because you couldn't see the wave until it was right in front of you!! Over all.. It was a way good night!! I LOVE HOW WARM THE BEACH IS!! EVEN AT NIGHT!!! I LOVE IT HERE!!!!

 

Day.. Lucky Number Seven!!: I didnt know what being tired was Until Today!

Alright so from my day im pretty sure yall have assumed I was tired all day!! Well it started off when I had to wake up at 5:45 to be on the bus by 6:30... Yeah that was a struggle! So we got all ready for the kids camp and left for the school! Its so nice that the school is so close... We seriously leave like 5 minutes before we have to be there and we get there in 1 minute! Its pointless to drive.. but hey.. im not complaining! Okay so we loaded up on our cute little school bus.. Yall saw it in one of the days that I posted earlier! So we load up and everyone has their own row... Holy heck is that nice or what!! So I crawled up in a little ball and slept the whole way to St. Augustine... If yall don't know that's about 30 minutes away! We had to go get our physicals.. it was the easiest test of my whole life.. I did some like yoga poses.. lifted up my arms... squatted down once... and then he checked my ankles, lungs, and heart! BAM done! Easiest A OF MY LIFE!! Oh my goodness.. you should have seen that old ladies face that was in the waiting room with us when she first walked in... and also when Tricia was talking about how long her leg hair got when she didn't shave for almost a year and it started to curl! Oh goodness... That poor old lady! She thought it was funny as heck though so.. I guess its alright! Wait first of all... before I go onto the next part... I WAS FALLING ASLEEP IN THE WAITING ROOM! Just like the other day in church! Did I tell yall about that? If not... I was PASSED OUT! Okay so we are driving back to go to the kids camp... I fell asleep again on the bus! Except here everyone thinks its so hot outside that they keep their houses and stores or whatever at like negative seventy three degrees! Okay maybe im being a little dramatic! But you know me! So we did the kids camp from 10-12 and had a lunch break and got subway Holy cow! Did you know that when you are a big girl you don't have to pay for your own food on the road? Oh it gets real nice! No more Great Value for me!!! Well at least when we are traveling... So then we got back and went 1-3:30! Okay I say kids camp because they look TINY! Oh my goodness the seniors are like five foot flat! So when we got home I cooked dinner like the good little house wife and Shannan and Marina went on the search for a couch! They came home with two night stands! Guess how much! Go ahead guess!! TWO DOLLARS each! Right? Now we got a cute little place to put our coasters and ugly lamps!(: Julie and Jamie came over because we told them we had cookies... We scared them when they first came over... I hid in the storage... not as funny as I thought it was going to be!

Its about 7:30 now and its time to get ready for workouts.... So we get all ready and go.. Well we did cardio... box workouts... and holy freck the abs we did... BURING!!!!!!! So after we did all the just fun stuff a couple of girls and I went and lifted! Im going to be so sore tomorrow!! Kill myself! But I already feel like im seeing improvements.. is that weird? Am I huge or what?

 

So when I got home I was laying on the floor in the front room avoiding going up my stairs! and guess who wants to Skype right then? Big Booty Judy!!! Of course I wasn't going to turn that beautiful lady down so I ran up the stairs (Worst decision of my life) My les were tired half way through!

 

Look at my cute family! RyBug looks like a vampire now with no teeth! She has already grown! I don't miss Utah because I love it here but I sure do miss the people!!! They called at like Ten and I was already like ready to pass out! I just needed to shower and now.. about to just snooze right away!!

Day 6: Orientation is hell!

So this morning we woke up and went straight to the gym turns out we are teaching a kids camp... Except they are in HIGH SCHOOL! THEY LOOKED 5! The two seniors looked like they were 7th grade tops! I was only there for half of it because after that I had to go and take a test and then sign up for my other classes! Wait wait wait.. let me back up to this morning where there were ducks right outside my freaking door!!! It was awesome! But they did not want to be followed... I tried to take some pictures with them... You know.. the typical duck face.. They run pretty fast! I wore my shirt for the first time!!

So I went and took a test right.. That wasnt too bad.. but the orientation it took two freaking hours and my coach had already done everything for me!! So I just sat there!! I only have classes on monday and Wednesdays so that cool right? 

Oh my goodness... Look at this stop light! I thought these were only in movies!!

Im not going to lie.. Right now.. After going to the gym and taking some advil p.m... I am about to pass out! I am falling alseep typing! SO im going to have to cut this one short!! Just two things to update.. I left yall hangin... I found my state right in my robe... and also... My hot water is fixed so that was amazing! They had to completely replace it!! Day 5: St. Augy!!

This morning was the day to get all of registration done! I also got to see the gym for the first time!! The bad thing that happened today is that I had to say goodbye to my mamma... It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be but I also don't think its sank it quite yet!

 Well tomorrow I have to take the P.E.R.T test? I think its like a placement test or something? I really don't even know haha. We got our first volleyball shirt today! I was stoked!!

We went to the beach after!! It was soo beautiful but im not going to lie.. I had a little scare at the beach... I looked down and realized that I didn't have my state ring on... I freaked out.. I was so scared! I didn't ever remember ever taking it off so I freaked out but then I realized I couldn't do anything about it anyways if it was lost so I didn't want to ruin my day at the beach so I decided to just go boogie boarding! It was way fun!!

After the beach we went and toured St. Augustine it was beautiful there was so much to see in such a little town! We toured a fort... and some museums

 

 

When we came home we were soo tired! So we all showered but our water.. was cold.. We have no idea what happened but we have no more hot water... yeah we need to get that fixed tomorrow! So we all wrapped up in our robes and watched tv and then after played Phase 10! Marina won! I was pissed... I just taught her and she won!

So I got the best facetime of my life today! I got a facetime from my boyfriend... and also Patrick...  Haha I miss those two little man dimes so much! Nixon is just so dang cute!

 

Today I feel like I didn't write as much as I usually do but its probably because I am way tired and have to wake up at 7 for volleyball stuff.. Yes mom.. I did study for that test! You can stop worrying!(:

Day 4: Sunday Funday!

Oh goodness... The first part of today was such a culture shock for me church wise.. I am so used to having to open the gym to have sacrament.. Not in this ward! Today I think the count was 43? Yeah that was real different! We could fit everyone in the first like 3 rows! I was so tired I honestly fell asleep in church when I woke up to my mom saying that we were going to stand up to sing! I should have not stayed up so late! But I mean thats college right? So after church we talked to one of the counselors (Is that the right counselors) about my records and what I need! After that we went shopping for a new bed but had no luck... Surprising everything is closed on sunday here! There are churches on every corner... Mostly baptist! We went around and took pictures of the signs of where im living... going to school.. and even my bus!!(: While we were taking one of the pictures... guess what happened... we may or may not have heard gun shots! EEEK! Hahah mamma wasn't too intrigued! But I was... but of course we didnt go find out what happened!

After pictures I was still tired as heck so I went home and was about to take a nap when someone knocked on the door... I figured it was one of the girls that forgot her key or something! I opened it and it was a girl on the team her name is Katlin. Shannan and Marina wanted a picture of all three of us by our door so we took a couple... Dang we are a good looking/awkward set of girl hahah

 Katlin stayed and talked a little but after she left Shannan and Marina started to unpack more stuff and im all done so I took the best two hour nap of my life! When I woke up we went to dinner with my parents at a seafood place! I was pissed because I just wanted some normal crab but they didnt have any.. only battered crab and stuff so I just got pasta! This place was right on the river so I thought I was going to see some alligators... Still no luck! I just want to see one so dang bad!!!! We walked around the dock a little after eating.

When we got home and decided that we need more stuff at walmart so we took another trip.. Looking for trash cans... nails... chairs... all that wonderful stuff! Once we got done and started to check out the cashier asked us if it was our first year of college... DANG IT!! WE BLEW IT!! I DIDNT WANT TO LOOK LIKE WE DIDNT KNOW WHAT WE WERE DOING BUT I GUESS THE WHOLE TOWN KNEW! We came home and went over to Katlins house so I could meet Madi! She reminds me A LOT about Addie the setter from hurricane! The way we talks..acts and even kinda looks! 

We came home and decided we wanted to put together something we bought at walmart... WE DONT NEED A MAN! Well... we need a man! or at least some powertools! It was so hard! Stuff didnt line up right or anything...sooo we are taking it back! 

My night ended great! Dodgers are in first place... I watched them sweep the Giants while eating carrot cake! Dang that carrot cake was soooo good! The second I opened it I went ham! Dodger baseball and cake... Life doesnt get any better than that right?

Well.. One last thing... I have been here two days and guess what... I already get made fun of for my boobs... This picture is a picture of our grocery list... Clearly fake boobs are on the list!! 

I hate my life!!

I guess my little Canadian Albert is refreshing my blog to wait and see what it says for the day so she can live through me.. so... SHOUT OUT TO ONE OF MY MAIN GIRLS ALBERTA! KEEPING IT COOL! :P

Day 3: All moved in

Can you guess what we did today? We packed up the hotel... There was only a couple things like toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, make-up.. You know... the necessary things in life that you need everyday! We got all packed and headed to the apartment to move in... First we met Marina and her family... They are really friendly and nice her brother is no longer living with us because he found out that he could take the class on line. So we took all my stuff up into my room and set everything up well as much as we could for the moment... My mom thought that only 18 hangers would do the job! HAHAHAHAH funny right? We needed around 70 yeah... I have a lot of clothes! But at least I dress cute right? We made our second Wal-Mart trip of the day... We got food... a microwave, and all of the basics! I got my keys to my apartments!!

 

I know what yall are thinking... I am a big girl now! I KNOW!! Its crazy how fast it came!

When we unloaded all of that stuff  from walmart my coach texted me and said he was home from his cruise so we could go and pick up my furniture that was shipped to his house! We talked with him a bit and then headed back to the apartment to set everything up... except one thing went wrong... My bed wasn't shipped!! My mom is PISSED! CALM DOWN JUDY!! (Love you mom! Because I know youre reading this!!) Well we came home and set everything else up.. we got my make up table all set up and my chair! all I need is a bed frame! Our room is so cute and well put together

Once we got all of our stuff settled we decided it was time to eat.. Dave was getting grouchy and hungry so we decided we better go! Shannan was now there and unpacking and her parents were leaving soon so she came to dinner with us. We went to a pizza place which has wayyy good pizza and wayyyyyyyy good ranch! Maybe I can live without Wild coyote ranch!
After dinner my parents dropped me off for my first night to sleep in my apartment! Is this real life right now? Am I really old enough to be doing this crazy stuff?

Tonight the girls and I decided to go on a run with Marinas brother around the campus.. It was a two mile run! KILL myself! But I saw a bunch of toads! They are so cute! I love all the animals I am seeing here... Its a lot different than turtles and lizards!! I saw a raccoon on the side of the road.. but have yet to see an alligator! After our run we watched a movie but soon decided we were too tired so we all kinda crawled into bed but haven't gone to bed yet.. Marina has some weird Velcro towel dress thing! It was soo funny! It had a matching head thing! We were dying when she came and put it on for us and modeled it!! Hahah I seriously died it was just too funny!!

 

 

Day 2: What a rain storm really is

Good morning Florida!! Well this morning I had my first Florida lesson.. I learned that here in Florida... They put lots and lots of chlorine in their water.. So if I come home real white.. You know why.. My skin will be bleached white!!!
After getting ready to do some shopping and go to the beach I look outside to see a beautiful mostly sunny day... Walking outside was a different story.. It may have been mostly sunny but it was raining! Not way hard but a pretty good rain. We went to bed bath and beyond to look for bed stuff that we had seen in a magazine. Did anyone else know how expensive bed sheets and comforters were? Way more than I expected! Also... there were pillows for 100 dollars! WHO WOULD SPEND THAT MUCH MONEY ON A PILLOW?!?! Well I guess if I was filthy rich I would! But I'm not!!!
We went to the St. Augustine beach.. Upon reaching the walk way we hear in a thick southern woman accent  "BILLY GET OVER HERE AND HELP ME WITH THIS DAMN CHAIR!!" *Billy starts walking back to her* "BOY DONT YOU KNOW HOW TO RUN? ITS HURTIN MY WRIST" I couldn't help but laugh when I passed her!
Well the beaches are exactly what I thought they would be.. and more! White sandy beaches with WARM WARM WARM water!

I got so excited the second I felt the soft sand but soon after touching the sand a HUGE thunder roar hits and within seconds it started to POUR! More than I have ever witnessed! Some rain was not going to stop me from getting into the warm water! Of course there were only two crazy people at the beach who wanted to get into the water, but that changed as soon as lightning started to strike! I was only out in the rain for a couple minutes and got SOAKED!

I'm not in the desert anymore! There was more rain here in 5 minutes that St. George gets in a year its crazy how flat it is here.. If it rained like this in St. George the roads would be flooded and houses would be going into rivers! We decided to leave and go visit my school. We drove around and saw the Criminal Justice Center.

 

It is seriously crazy how you can not see more than 1/8th of a mile because it is so thick full of trees! That is a huge change for me! Its crazy to think that this is my new home and I couldn't be more excited! I'm getting more and more excited the longer I stay! I'm not going to lie.. Im a little scared to get close to any water or even any trees What if a alligator pops up and decides it wants my swinging arm? I feel like they would probably revoke my scholarship! Don't worry everyone.. I have been looking real hard but have not found any alligators! I wanna see one so bad.. but no luck at all! and don't worry... everyone will know when I see my first one!

 

When we got home the storm had not yet hit Palatka so soaking wet and freezing in the hotel room there was only two things the could take action.. Go see if the pool was warm and swim.. or get in a nice hot shower! We chose the first one of course! I saw something in the pool that looked very familiar to me, it was the first familiar thing I have seen since being here... It was a swimmer ( I don't know if that's what they are really called but my family calls them swimmers) They are little bugs that swim! ( Wow that was pretty easy to explain) We had them the first year we moved into our new house but never had them since! I'm sure you guessed it.. The storm started to catch up with us after swimming for only a couple of minutes it started to pour pretty bad. We didn't get out until lightning started to get pretty close. We got out and came back up to the room and that's where action number two came in and I got into a nice hot shower! I'm getting used to the smell of bleach in my shower.. Lets hope that soon I wont even be able to recognize the smell!

I think its safe to say that I am going to love living here for the next little while!

Day 1: travel travel travel

Well as you can tell from the title not much went on today.. Waking up at 6:47 was a killer! I don't even remember the last time I did that! I didn't even wake up that early for school! After saying goodbye to one of my best friends (Coach Swaney) we hit the road and drove to Vegas! It really is amazing how I can sleep in the most awkward positions! 
Checking into flights was a little scary.. 50lbs is the weight limit.. All three of our bags were 49.5 lbs! We managed to pack me up in 3 large suitcases... 3 carry ons... And 3 backpacks! 

After going through security and getting a snack for the flight we just about missed the flight... "Last call for flight number **** to Houston" this flight was my favorite. Why you may ask. Well I'll tell you why! I was crawled up in a ball fast asleep the whole flight! Best 3 hour flight of my life! I woke up just in time for the flight attendant to tell us we were descending. *Next flight to Orlando* we walked down this hall to see which gate we were taking off from... It was a pretty good walk... Especially when you are carrying a heavy bag and a make up box full of not just make up! Well turns out.. It's the exact same gate we just got out of! Yes... We walked all that way for nothing! Flying into Orlando was beautiful! Being able to see Florida come up from the ocean.. Priceless!  

As we are getting closer and closer I keep on getting more and more excited!! We still have one more flight to go... Gainesville... There was a whole 9 people on that flight! It wasn't a bad flight at all... It took a whole 30 minutes! It was so loud I put my beats on and started jammin out to music and no one could even hear me!! I sat in the very back all alone.. No one was allowed in seats higher than 8!! I have never seen a sun so red and big! The sunset was BEAUTIFUL!! The picture does not do it justice! 

After picking up our luggage (all 3 bags made it safe) and the car we had a 40 minute drive into Palatka! I made the comment "I don't ever remember there being mosquitoes last time we were here" because she told me a friend of hers said to get repellent... Well.. Of course karma loves me! I got bit within the first 10 minutes IN THE CAR! BRING ON THE SMELLY REPELLENT! (Hope these boys are into that kind of smell) (don't worry... I found it... And killed it!!) I love how respectful everyone is down here.. Yes mam.. No mam.. I hear it everywhere.. I LOVE IT! After a not so much eventful day.. It's finally time for bed!
